'The Vampire Diaries' Wrap-up Thoughts... 5A/8 -- Seasons 01-04 Favorite Scenes and Moments

Continuing with my final Vampire Diaries series-and the good stuff-here are my favorite scenes or moments. (You may notice it now says /8 instead of /10. That's because I realized that I can get this done in eight and I'm glad because I like the symmetry of eight parts to go with eight seasons.) Some of these may surprise you and some scenes/

"And then there was the song, "The Thread of the Thing," by Fay Wolf." - This is actually my favorite TVD song. It always reminds of that moment in the show that felt like such an emotional breakthrough. Even if Damon didn’t know it yet, Elena made up her mind and DE was about to happen.For me, it's probably this tied with "Bloodstream." I love them both soooooooooooooo much. Both for everything they represent about Damon and Elena and their love for one another. "Bloodstream" is from Damon's point of view because that was when he allowed himself to fully, completely let go and realize -- HOLD ON! OH MY GOD! I am just realizing this now. GEEZ LOUISE! -- it was on that porch, in that moment when "Bloodstream" was playing and Damon was talking to "Elena" that he fully allowed himself to let go and realized that he had let this girl into his heart, he had finally begun to let go of Katherine and fallen for someone else. And "The Thread of the Thing" was Elena's realization about Damon. Of course, of course, those are my two favorite
