Has anyone else used the old ghetto Kool Aid as hair dye technique? How did you prepare it? What colour or flavour did you use? What were the results? Have you tried mixing colours/flavours ( Read more... )

They are about as good as using Bingo Dabbers so agreed, go get real hair dye!

Which is what I was going to use had they had any at WalMart. It's just for one night so as long as it looks semi-decent for a few hours I'd rather save the money.

Normally that's exactly what I'd do but I need it only for Saturday night for my work dinner dance and then will likely be stripping it out with toothpaste on Sunday. I don't think I'll be using it at all in the future, though. It's a pain!

Aww, thanks so much for the offer! But, really, it's just for tomorrow night for my work dinner dance to go with my outfit and then I'll likely go back to the blonde bangs for a while at least. ^.~

oh dear, don't trash that beautiful long hair of yours....I've heard of girls attempting Kool Aid. It depends on the health of the hair I've been told...

Aww, thanks for the concern! It's ok, though, it's only for my bangs! And only for one night for my work dinner dance. ^.^ Keeping my fingers crossed it'll turn out ok.

the best method i've found thus far is to scalp the people you find with the colour you want and put together exactly the dye job you want using what you've collected, sew it together, and then sew it to your own head. works like a charm.

Damn, why didn't I think of that? Though, you know, that sounds like almost as much work as the kool aid seems to be. ^.~

That video definitely belongs on wtf_inc.

Hi! It's your friendly net neighborhood psycho stalker freak with a penchant for goth chicks.
Err...

RIT is probably a bad idea for hair, and potentially a really, really bad idea. Not only because of the nasty chemicals it contains, but more specifically, the shit just _doesn't_come_out. I'm speaking from experience with clothes, so YMMV with hair... But the possibility of permanently dying both your hair and scalp whatever color you choose may not be so 1337-looking once all is said and done. Well, more done than said.

My sum total of hair dye experience goes back to when I was 17, and delving head-on into the rave scene. No. 1 buzzcut + peroxide gel + wash + yellow Manic Panic + smiley face stencil + black manic panic = one fucked up looking candyraver. Thank goodness for drum 'n bass and industrial for CRASHING me down out of that sickly sweet happy hardcore cloud...

Randomness abounds! Muahahaha.

Y hello thar, ex-rave smiley haired stalker boi! ;)

Thankfully I ended up using more Kool Aid and it turned quite a nice shade of red. I did it for my company Xmas party (yep, in January)...

Likely the most brilliant shade of red one can possibly get. Do your horns have poison tips? =0p
