Oh, sorry! It's Memories by Within Temptation. They have an amusing song you may wish to look up called "Gothic Xmas"... nothing like this song, mind you.

Good stuff, they're a surprisingly versatile band. While I can't name any of their songs off the top of my head I came across them a few years ago and was impressed by their musicianship. The singer has a great voice too.

Totally outta left field, but there's a singer I think you might really like. Her name is Azam Ali, and she is also the vocalist for the groups Vas and Niyaz. Vas is heavily medeival/renaissance-era influenced; Niyaz is more middle-eastern and modern, her first solo album Portals of Grace is all Renaissance-era ballads, and her second solo album Elysium for the Brave is an excellent mix of electronica, world instruments and her absolutely stunning voice. Check out the song 'Endless Reverie.' Awesome.

I shall definitely have to check her out! I love Mediæval Bæbes, Dead Can Dance and Natacha Atlas and it sounds as though she is somewhere in between?
