Can we discuss the awesomeness of last night's Castle episode?

Halloween episodes are always amazing in Castle land, but last night will hold a special place in my heart for a simple reason: it was the first episode I did not see the killer coming. Usually, I can predict whodunit, or at least go ohhh, duh if I didn't already figure it out. Last night had such an amazing twist I actually shouted "WHAT!"

Also to squee over:
Castle's heart-to-heart with Alexis... getting interrupted by Beckett. Alexis' face over Dad's clueless and the irony of getting a lecture about not structuring her life around a boy being interrupted by a Beckett-call. Heh.

Jenny is still adorable. We better get a really sappy wedding episode this season.

Beckett and Castle's incredibly, um, suggestive scene searching the house. There was moaning, guys. I'm amazed Beckett didn't make a comment.

Castle screaming like a girl never gets old. But I'd probably squeal too if a 20 year-old decayed body fell on me.

More supernatural happenings! Ok, so in She's Dead, He's Dead, Beckett admitted its possible mediums could be real. But now she's back to Ms. Skeptic in this episode saying there are no ghosts. What, no callback? Castle should be egging her about the previous ghost-related incident here! And at the end... there might actually be a ghost. Which Beckett might actually buy. Can we stop resetting Beckett's skeptic meter every episode.

But, in sad news: no more Esplanie. *tear* They were kinda cute. Lanie, we need to chat about how stupid you are.

Next week: Bank robberies! Explosions! Castle getting hurt....? Oh noes!

castle, fandom ate my brain
