I don't quite understand why I have to see the dead pope's image every time I turn on the TV or browse the internet. I mean, what is there to see

It's a nightmare in Ireland - that's all you see on the Eire TV.....the pope!

I wasn't a big fan of his - apart from the fact that I'm not religious in that way - I thought he was short-sighted as far as overpopulation and AIDS was concerned - he still banned contraception despite the fact it could have saved lives!

Well, I don't expect anyone from the Vatican to approve contraception ever! It's part of their charm! They must keep on pretending they still control our minds! What about sin? They must have sinners and that one is so easy to fall for...
Those people don't change easily, after all, when I was born they still though the earth was flat!

Well, I just thought he was a nice chubby grandfather!

that's true - contraceptives will never be on their wish-list!

I guess I don't really like any religions - and so the pope never had a particularly positive effect on my feelings! :)

I like the idea of cult, I just don't believe in deities. So, no need for cult. Bummer! Did I mention I like churches? Oh, yeah, that I like...

People are idiots and the only thing dummer than people is more people. Thats a saying we hill-billies use a lot. Old things are at risk of being lost.....we are failing to pay attention to art and beauty, the real history. Everyone is focused on the end not the path. I don't watch news or read the paper like you said, it makes me want to cry.

I don't watch the news either... but in times like this, you can't hide. They are everywhere!
I swear I just stepped out for some air and the wind blew a loose magazine cover to my feet... the pope's face was in it!

My main mission: Don't become one of the idiots.

There are ways to hide, but it isn't right I suppose....so what do ones like you do when you don't hide? People whose eyes are open don't mix well with those who are asleep.
