I would say... Direct, concise and to the point. So, sure, in fanfic it does come partly from a lack of English vocabulary, but beyond that, this is true for everything I write. Be it an essay for school when I was younger, a scientific paper for work, or fanfics. Apparently my brain is better at synthesizing than detailing.
It's also that I like things simple and neat. So anything I do, fic, arts, vids, I use very little unnecessary "effects".

There's quite a few angsty things I've written actually. Lots of finale/post-finale angst for White Collar. As Tears Go By is one of them. And there's my infamous The Beat that my Heart Skipped, which was my one and only attempt at "presumed dead" fic, where Peter thinks Neal is dead, for about 15, 30 minutes? Which I wrote right *before* the finale of the show. /o\ So not so angsty after all...
But I think the angstiest is my lastest story, The Man Was a Hero from Person of Interest, because [spoilers for the finale of POI] that one is an actual death fic. Which I had never written before and usually avoid even reading. This time, there's zero comfort, and zero way out*. I was actually writing a character that was dead, and not just "the others think he's dead" like for Neal ( ... )

Yes! Anything about Peter's awkwardness around baby Neal is inspired by my own awkwardness. It's not that I don't like babies, cause I do like them, I just don't know how to behave/interact with them, because they're... weird, LOL
And my BFF had a baby shortly before the end of WC, so They don't Teach it at Quantico is directly inspired by my own experience there. ;)
17. Do you have any discarded scenes/storylines/projects?
ahaha yes! That one project we once started talking about, Peter being accused of being a dirty cop and Neal not buying it and coming to the rescue... Well, it's in stand-by for now, while my muse is venturing in another fandom. I'm sure it'll come back at some point. But my brain is really not into epic fics right now. I refuse to say it's definitely abandoned. Just... on pause... ;)

This has to be the Who's The Princess Now? and Even Heroes Need To Rest series. LOL Characters being aware of being fictional characters, crack and meta, that's as weird as they get. :)
There was a time I had an idea for a third installment but I've forgotten this idea /o\

Took me some deep thinking to find that one. I don't tend to think in term of tropes I think.
I think my favorite trope is something like "take a bullet for each other", literally or metaphorically. But not for the whump part of it. The less details about that, the better. It's all about characters realizing how much they care for each other and can't live without one another and they get all angsty and full of feelings about it.
Also I'm a sucker for any fluff little stories, whether you consider that a trope or not.
