It's over. We lost in the last minute of extra time. You could see how the guys were in shock after the goal - the second one 30 seconds later didn't matter anymore

Now we can be united in football-induced misery ^_^ Though I guess you have the advantage of being confronted with much lower numbers of gloating Germans in comparison to my Italians *looks gloomily out of the window to the Italian restaurant where they've gone crazy*
As a way to regain my equilibrium I'm going to indulge my baser nature and will cheer against Italia during final! They deserved the win for their great extra time performance but it doesn't mean I'm having to want them as champion too after kicking our team out ^_~
Now I'm going to comfort and distract myself watching a cynical, rude, egomanic doctor abuse his staff and patients while saving the latters life - Dr. House should be able to raise my spirits again in the repeat (episode aired during the match first)... Glad, I didn't throw my TV out!
It's kinda like having your heart broken, isn't it, except there's no one to blame? It does get better with time though, eventually, after griping about it ad nauseam with sympathizers.
P.S. Re: Cambiasso, in your comment in the other post? You made me laugh, because my father's loathing for Cambiasso knows no bounds and I've had to listen to him about it on and on whenever we get on the phone.
Who are you?! What have you done with the person grumbling about football-obsessed idiots on your f-list less then a month ago? And now there's even a despairing post by you! Have you been won over by the dark round black/white side - was the constant exposure to black-red-gold and inanely grinning persons too much? Well, I hope you have at least switched sides early enough that you could enjoy the wins and lighthearted atmosphere... and not just in time for the post-loss-depression ^_~
I have decided to combine watching our last match in the useless fight for place three (really, who cares about who wins that?! I've never understood this farce - it's not Olympia where you'll still be able to get a bronze-medal >_<) with something uplifting and will go nightskating at the local airport where they will also show the match ^_^
Hi! We have you as interested in maybe participating in the Art Olympics, but there is no contact email in your user info. If you are still interested, please let us know as soon as possible. snarry.olympics AT gmail DOT com.
