It also helps that, while I like Rickman, I find him much too old for playing Snape with being more than 20 years older than the character. He's by no means "my" ideal Snape lookswise; if one could turn back time to his appearance to "Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves"-times I'd be probably a lot more enthusiastic ^_^ Agree with you completely.
