Hello! It is indeed that time of year where I go a little off piste, throw all of my previous decisions away and come up with an entirely new list. Sorry. Some of these are a little weird and obscure for which I can only deeply apologise.
things I enjoy:
Strong, intelligent, witty women; pop-culture and literary references; witty dialogue; round characterisation; circular structures; arguments of equals; queering; threesomes; fake-dating; road trips; kissing; clones and/or robots with feelings; dystopias; mirroring.
things to avoid:
Generally I have few lines I mind crossing but: character-bashing is a no, please stay clear of all slut-shaming and -ist slurs and if you could be so kind as not to involve watersports that would be immense.
Made in Chelsea RPF (Rosie Fortescue, Hugo Taylor, Caggie Dunlop).
First of all: I am so sorry. I just couldn't stop myself. I really tried. But since we're here I have some particularly specific desires. Namely involving Rosie and Hugo orchestrating everything, Hugo and Caggie being ridiculous Chelsea-weary bros. Anything involving another masquerade ball/a weekend away at a country house would suit me fine. Also I know she's not on the character list but Caggie/Millie warms my heart because best friends in love! (Though if we could avoid the Hugo/Millie "We are the worst people" ferrago again, that would be grand.)
Bonus points for: Binky's existence, Spencer getting some form of comeuppance/bro drinks with Hugo, Ollie also being an arch-manipulator.
Hanna (Hanna Heller, Sophie, Marissa Wiegler)
My kingdom for a reality in which Hanna/Sophie reunite and maybe put their mouths on each other's mouths again basically. Pretty much any scenario goes here, both canon-adhering or AU. (I won't lie, if you give me Hanna as secretly not only an assassin but a robot assassin, I might cry tears of unfathomable joy.) But if that's not up your street, though I really hope it is, anything delving into Marissa's past would be particularly well-received.
Bonus for: anyone getting fancy with a computer, inclusion of fairytales, some sort of adorable snow action.
Fresh Meat (Vod, Oregon, J.P, Josie. extra: Howard)
My heart basically belongs to Vod so this is always a good start. Preferentially, something involving Vod/Oregon with some background J.P/Josie sex shenanigans would be ace, but after the finale I would also be so entirely okay with a J.P/Vod/Oregon situation. (No really, the idea has really taken root, as it were.) But if you're not into that, a general housemate crisis piece would always go down well. I adore Howard and would love if you could slot him in somewhere but I will not be fussed if Kingsley remained stroppily moved out elsewhere.
Bonus for: anyone getting walked in on, Howard getting a girlfriend of his own, Lady Professor Shales getting it on with Vod or Oregon.
Hopefully this isn't the world's worst guideline - I feel it's relatively vague but feel free to get me to clarify something if you're not sure. I really hope you have fun writing is and I look forward to seeing the results!
