Thanks to all three!! I don't know why I've been in a random "quote for title" phase today... we'll see how long it lasts. I believe it's from some lullaby or children's poem, right? I don't even know myself; it just kind of popped into my head. :)
The singular is Rohir, but the tricky part is that that is the Sindarin name for a native of the Mark. The Rohirrim call themselves the Eorlingas (followers or kinsmen of Eorl--I am not sure which). So Eowyn is unlikely to think of one of her own countrymen as a Rohir. That image of auburn-haired Faramir is firmly entrenched in my mind (even though I read the books many years before the movies.)
Wow, that IS tricky. Not being Rohirric myself, I tend to refer to them as the outsiders would. *sigh* ;)
But anyway, thanks for the heads-up!! That sort of thing is definitely good generic fic-knowledge to have in general, so I very much appreciate it.
Good to know I'm not the only one who thinks in terms of movie-haired Faramir. Though of all the things about Faramir they changed in the movie, I was least upset about his hair. :)

I like your title quote, I once used it for a chapter heading about Faramir's baby's eyes !
