Drabble for December 12th

Title: Civil War
Characters: Aragorn, Faramir
Rating: G
Warnings: None whatever.
Aragorn usually enjoys his walks with Faramir, but today there is a gleam in his Steward’s eyes that is little to his liking. Suddenly Aragorn feels something hit him forcefully, and looks back at Faramir in alarm. “Civil war!” he cries, struggling to return fire before his treacherous Steward can deliver a fatal blow. He can hardly believe Faramir’s betrayal, but he wastes no time thinking about anything but defence. One of Aragorn’s shots reaches its target, and Faramir staggers, but he still manages to strike down his King.
The snowball fight is over, and the Steward is the victor.
