I got a 75 on my Latin translation, that annoys me, he also didn't tell me what I got wrong even though I asked, how will I learn if I don't know wtf I did wrong? I ended up with an 88.3 in the class. If I hadn't forgotten to do a few quizes I'd have gotten an A. I'm peeved about this. yes and no. your GPA is one small part of the larger picture that they look at when considering you for grad school.

things they look at:
GPA
the GPA for just your major and not your cumulative GPA
which classes you took
what your essays have to say about you and your goals
your recommendations
your scores on the GRE/GMAT/LSAT &ct.

so if your cumulative GPA is a little low, but your major GPA is better, then they'll focus more on that one.
