This has nothing to do with writing. (Image Heavy!)
But it does have to do with medieval times and fantasy!
So I went to the ren faire by me about a month ago, and took some pictures, and then never posted them anywhere. So I'll post them here! Please note, though, I'm a horrible photographer. Don't mind the terribleness. :'D
I went with my family, and we had an awesome time. :D We saw all three jousts, caught most of the big cat show, did some knife throwing, admired the weaponry (and had one of the smiths recognize my tattoo and show me his own LotR sleeve), had some delicious food (damn those turkey pot pies were amazing), bought a dragon earcuff, watched an artist go about his work, saw some bellydancing and listened to period music, and watched my dad "slay the giant" by hitting a cushioned lever hard enough with a hammer to ring a bell on two out of three swings (he got the bell to ring all three times, but we kind of expect it because he can do it every year we go and it's become a kind of tradition). It was all so wonderful~
