Rooney? Yeah, I thought about him, and also Lampard, Deco,
Jay Jay (not JJ!), Freddie, the Ronaldos (ManU and Real), Toure,
and some others, but had to rule them out. Any other suggestions?

Well, my personal favorites are Zinedine Zidane and Cristiano Ronaldo. I still remember how in last 5 minutes Zidane changed England-France game in Euro 2004. All English fans here in Gosta (a popular student pub near our uni) went crazy and broke glasses. C. Ronaldo is one of the most passionate players I every watched. Luis Figo could also give you a run for your money.

hey! If you're looking at all-time best squad, you're missing gordon banks, garrincha, platini, "The Kaiser", Lineker, Cryuff (dad and son) and of course a guy called Pele.
