KAT-TUN Kamenashi and Tanaka Talk about "DREAM BOYS"
KAT-TUN member Kamenashi recently has been appearing in the musical 'DREAM BOYS'. Now that the show is over, what is he doing in his spare time?
Kamenashi "Recently we've finished performing our musical. I'm strolling around lots of different places! I haven't been out in the open for two months! Now I get up early and go to bed at about 10 o'clock...It's getting chilly, so be careful not to catch a cold. That's about it for now. Today I might be talking a walk near YOU!"
Fellow member Tanaka appeared in the same musical series in 2007 and 2008. After watching Kamenashi perform, in his blog he wrote about his impressions. Having seen the musical from the audience, some new thoughts have occurred in his mind.
Tanaka "It simply felt strange. There's no use denying it, so I admit that I felt somewhat sad when I saw someone else performing and speaking in the role I had played. Even though it was the same role, it was quite different from the champion (main character) that I had known. But I really enjoyed watching it too. I genuinely like 'DREAM BOYS'. The champion is a very complex character. [By portraying the same character] I now feel I have a stronger bond with Kamenashi. The champion at first seems simple, but in fact he is a difficult character. Only the people who were given the role know how hard and fun it could be. It was a rare experience to be able to see a musical in which you had appeared from the audience seats. So I really enjoyed it, and I also learned a lot too. I also got to chat wit Shibuyan (KANJANI∞ member Shibutani). I hadn't met him lately. [NEWS member] Tegoshi's singing has become even more skilled...Good job, guys!"
