Tonight we went to the Collier county fair and bought a serape blanket that is so beautiful it almost hurts to look at. We were walking around, Juan and I, and it occurred to me that I am too negative and uptight. I know. Sometimes it's easier to just exist in the radical world but then you miss affecting and being affected by others, too. I know I have influenced my family and friends and even strangers like the people I've worked with at menial jobs, especially opened their minds on issues like immigration and corporate rule. And they will in turn affect others.
Also they've helped me to see the other side and reminded me that non-radicals are people, too. :)
That being said, I once co-hosted a Superbowl party without having the slightest notion what the Superbowl was. I thought it was baseball. But that was just an unintentional, amazingly clueless mistake on my part.
