My family had fireworks last night, but yeah, we're Chinese. It's for "driving the evil spirits away and welcoming the new year", says my father. I saw some fireworks earlier that night that were really high level (not ours) and I said, woah, there's my tuition for one sem, up in the sky O.o (4000 a piece ata kasi, tapos mga apat na ganon)

There are things in life that are just what they are. And they don’t have to have reasons for being what they are.

Well, if it's anything, that's the answer a lot of Chinese will accept :) I've suggested not having fireworks (am not fond) but am rejected because it's something the family has always done. Bleh.

We got to see fireworks display worth tens of thousands while not having to spend a single penny!
Try living in Bonifacio Global City! I got to watch some of the fireworks from Ayala. AND I got the best seats for the fireworks display in The Fort. 26th floor, 2blocks away, no buildings blocking the view, AND NO POLLUTION. how fun is that?!
