Homemade and fresh out of the keyboard! Yes, I typed it myself!

Anyway, on to more pressing matters. Or not.

I'm working every day this week at the deli. Which I wasn't expecting, but I'm not going to complain about it... an extra 25 hours of work is nothing to scoff at. I arrived at the deli on Monday expecting it to be an ordinary day... until I walked in and Katie, the full time girl was standing behind the counter. At first I thought "was I supposed to stay home today?" but then Jean told me that they had a couple huge catering orders, so she'd asked Katie to come in to help. Which turned out to be a good thing, because I had 70+ sandwiches to make, as well as 20 pita wraps. So Katie took care of the salads and took customers on the cash while I was knee deep in sandwiches.

Then after work Katie gave me a call and asked if I could take her shift on Tuesday, since she'd have to go out of town. So I said sure, no problem. Then when I got to work on Tuesday morning, Jean told me that Katie said she might be gone for as much as a week! I was already planning to come in on Wednesday morning to help out with another catering order (basically the same as Monday's order) but I couldn't stay the whole day because I had a workshop at noon and class from 1-5. Fortunately we managed to get everything taken care of (as far as I'm aware, having left work at 11:30 this morning) but Jean was left without someone to help her over the lunch hour.

Anyway, it's been a busy week so far, especially since I've gotten so used to working 1-2 days a week, and having class once a week. The rest of my time is fairly relaxed, and split between schoolwork, dance class on tuesday evening and yoga class on wednesday evening. And playing backgammon online, of course. It feels good to have a routine, and I feel more energized and productive. When I have too much free time, I tend to slip into depressed-mode.

I have 4 weeks left for my class. I'm hoping to be done my project in 3, so I can present on the first day of crits and then relax after that. I've got a lot of work ahead of me to get it done on that schedule, but I think I'm up to the challenge. Especially with this new boost in productivity (albeit not school related, at the time being).

And tomorrow I plan to get my taxes filed after work, so I should have a couple hundred bucks coming my way pretty soon... Not to mention my upcoming birthday in just over 4 weeks time. I plan to buy a bike, and get in better shape over the summer. Bike to work or something like that. (I made the same plan last year, but this year I'm actually going to do it, dammit!)

Well I think that's enough for now. I'd better get to bed, since I've gotta get up at 6am. Goodnight all!
