email to parents of a student:
Currently, ___ has a 82 in this class. However, what is even more worrying to me is ___'s inappropriate behavior during class (which has resulted in me sending him out of class several days in a row). Even today, when I specifically told the class to raise their hands and ask for permission to get up, ___ was out of his seat several times without asking. I find that the whole class is disrupted when he behaves this way, and that it is a reoccurring issue. Mr. ___ thought so too and suggested he write an email to you both explaining the situation. I sincerely hope that his behavior will improve as we progress this school year.
email reply:
I am glad to know that you are Mr. ____'s student teacher and ____'s teacher, and that ____ is carrying an 82%. Thank you for sharing with me about ___'s behavior in your class. I am very unhappy with ___ and that he disrespects you and his fellow students, and takes away from your teaching time and the learning time of his fellow students. Thank you for notifying me about his poor conduct. I am embarassed about this, and my husband and I will visit with ____ this evening, and I guarantee you that his conduct will be above average if not excellent tomorrow and in days following. Please do not hesitate with contacting through email or call me... with behavior updates. Again, I am sorry for my son's intentional stupidness [emphasis mine] in regards to his poor class conduct. He has let all concerned down. We will hope for a better tomorrow and days following.
