Number 4-Clothes, or lack thereof

There's this 7th grader in one of my classes who's small--smaller than most of the other students in the class. He tells me that his dad shoots him with a BB gun in the back, which considering his size would be like shooting an overgrown squirrel if the story was true. when it's a dare and you're distracting the whole class in the middle of a lesson, yes. :P

I'm curious as to how changing ones pants can distract a whole class... Is it really that interesting?

7th graders (at least mine) are distracted when they find a new piece of trash on the ground, or the top of their desk has minute eraser shavings on it, or a dog is barking two streets away...it doesn't have to be interesting to distract them. One person is all it takes for them all to be looking at the piece of trash, or commenting on the piece of trash, or coming over to pick up the piece of trash...orz
