Today I am grateful

That I work a desk job. A few times this year I have pondered changing jobs or envied people who work outdoors or at least are not confined to a desk all day.

As the rain drums furiously on the roof and windows of my office, I am suddenly, profoundly grateful for the warm, dry sedentary nature of my job.

Can't stand desk jobs. would rather be out in the rain than at a warm, dry desk.

Have even been seen grinning into horizontally windblown ice while carrying 50 kilos of rock samples down a 2000m mountain. The grin is because I'm thinking 'some poor buggers have to work desk jobs instead of this'...

Fair enough! Me, I chose yesterday to go and do my Christmas shopping, didn't I? And no, no nice warm mall for me! I had to go to town... (sometimes I'm such a clever girl!)
