Hi everyone! It's good to see you all again.. well if you remember me that is... :P It's been a while since I found time to do reviews after all.

Anyway, you've probably figured out by now that this post is not a review (sadly). Instead, I've got some news to share with everyone today.

1) I'm taking over the maintenance of this community from dekishimeta

Thanks to dekishimeta for having maintained this community until now. Yay, coolohoh for taking over and that this community won't die! That it just exists with a few posts every so often even if there's no weekly update makes me happy enough. Too many closed and indefinitely inactive Arashi communities makes me sad. Hail nidaime

Yup I know about ara-discussions... and it definitely came up in my mind when I was writing the post. But since I didn't particularly have any other ideas... maybe only for some SP shows... like a new years SP or MMDA.. then again ara-discussions would probably talk about it too. We'll see.

I don't join in much discussions there too, sadly... I just don't have much to talk about unfortunately.

Like you said, it's hard to get people to actually participate and chat with each other on LJ so yeah... Even on the aibaka forums it's been so quiet.

I'm just throwing around ideas and hoping to get some feedback, I'm glad you replied! XD

Well the keynote is this coming wedn (thurs SG time)... and then I have to hope my dad doesn't interfere with my plans to order the iMac...

Btw, hello nidaime coolohoh~ Thank you for taking the responsibility as a mantainer in this community.

A new banner will be nice :3 I will consider participating to make a new banner if my mood strike. Well, I don't have that much creativity that's why xD

Also regarding discussion. Actually kanu_x has mention it before but there's other community focusing on weekly discussion post. It's ara-discussions@LJ; I sometimes participate in that community if I like the theme. Since weekly discussion has it's own place. I think it's better to use this community as other means but I can't come up with anything :/ Sorry!

Yup, I know or ara-discussions... I definitely don't want to clash with what they are doing... but at the same time some kind of member interaction here would be nice... or if we can get more people to do reviews and readers make comments.

I'll definitely advertise the comm on arashi_on... once I get the masterpost revamped and some stuff written out :)

Honestly, even when I haven't review often in this comm, I really like it and have recommended it to ppl who asked about the tv shows ♥ So it's good to see that it's not closing.

I miss the fandom being on LJ tbh I myself am on tumblr all day but even starting conversations there is difficult cuz of tumblr format. I'll try to participate whenever I can from now on! And I'll also help promoting the comm on tumblr :D

Yes agreed, I have no idea how to even chat with other people on tumblr. Same for twitter... tweets just come and go so fast, I miss most of the tweets... how can I hold a decent conversation with anyone there even?

I'm sad too, by how everyone seems to be leaving LJ... I wonder if there's anything we can possibly do to reverse the trend :(

Yes! plus on tumblr you end up spamming ppl and on twitter there is the word limit! it's impossible x-x

Idk... I think is a combination of many factors (lack of raws, subs, translations, posts in general on arashi_on) that made people turn to other more active sites (in my case, I like making gifs so tumblr was it for me u.u).

All I can think of is just keep on encouraging conversation by promoting the comm =/ How about creating a tumblr to do just that? Linking to the posts so it can reach more people? I can help with that.

Yeah I think the series of rule breakers kill the lj community... :(
