the week

yep, Modern Japanese lit class is kicking my butt... just like classical, the sleep deprivation continues! 8D

anyways, not too much happened this week. Jo (the 2nd roomie) moved in.
both my roomies seem ok so far :D
i'm glad my only bad experience seems to be with the "one-day roomie"

erm...wednesday was kitchen duty. worst. duty. EVER.
I got stuck washing a mile high pile of dishes (which..is fine, that's what usually happens)
the problem though was that the DISPOSAL BROKE!
So when I got there the rinsing station was all backed up with red oily gunk :(
and my KC made me scoop it out of the drain (ewww)
so, after i did that i went back to cleaning...but mostly trying to scrape stuff into the trashcan since i couldn't rinse stuff down the sink, and the girl working with me got all pissy....and then stood around doing pretty much nothing.

she asked the KC for help moving dishes from the sink to the shelves (light dishes might i add!), and the guy the KC asked came up to me (because...you know I. was wrangling a mixing bowl half as big as I am -_- ) and i was like "no...her. not me." seriously, she wasn't even doing anything, she could have totally moved the dishes herself -_-'

later on, she left and another guy came to help me. He was about to rinse gunk down the drain and i told him you can't because the disposal's broken and he asked me:

"How do you know it's broken? O_o?!" (this is after he'd already seen me washing dishes at least an hour ago)
"because it doesn't work?"
*flips switch*
*nothing happens*
"Are you sure it's not off?"
"Yeah"-_- (because...you know if it were off it had to have been on before and did you hear it on? i sure didn't.)
*flips switch*
*nothing*
"oh." ._.'

while we were talking my KC (a different one, i work in between two shifts) was like "Yeah, the disposal's been broken since last week"
ok fine. but then not 5 minutes later he's RINSING GREASY RICE DOWN THE SINK!!!!!!
...and then a few minutes after that he starts scooping some stuff out of it, and then GIVES IT TO ME and says "Oh, you can use this to scoop stuff out."

uh. i wouldn't have HAD TO if you hadn't RECLOGGED THE DRAIN ASSHOLE!

-_-'

Thursday was the usual class and bum around. (except Chi and I had gotten little sleep whee)
After class our friend Andrew invited us to his place because he was making pizza (dough from scratch!)
Chi declined because she wanted to go home and pass out, but I figured why not, I don't want co-op food anyways so I went with him and his friend Lucy to his apt in Culver City.
OMG the complex is absolutely GORGEOUS. I wish I had my camera ;o;
It has 3 swimming pools, 4 tennis courts on the roof of a carlot, and all around the place there are these little manmade streams and ponds. Some of the 1st floor residents have a backyard deck right over them. it's so pretty and peaceful *o*
if i were looking for an apartment and had the dough to spend for it, i'd totally live there (if it were close to work or something of course haha)
after he showed us around, we went back and worked on a puzzle his roommates had been working on and watched a disc of "How I Met Your Mother" I've never seen the show before, but it's pretty good :)
Andrew had a couple of other friends come over, and we nommed on his pizza (so nummy!)
By then though, it was almost time for my mom to pick me up, so he took me and Lucy back to UCLA and my mom took me home.

school, kitchen duty, hang out
