Shrug, I was a Super Mario Bros. 1 and 3 nerd, but if we're going old-school, I can go old-school. I probably played Donkey Kong on Atari 2600 for a solid month of my childhood. Like, the number of hours spent playing it would equal a whole month.
And, if that's not old-school enough, there was a game that I used to play the hell out of on 5.25" floppy called "The Crypts of Plumbus". I think my dad had the only copy of this game ever made, and if I could find it now, I would buy it immediately (and whatever ancient relic I would need to play the damned thing).

I must have spent hours playing that game as a child.

Is it sad that after reading this post, I found my copy of bubble bobble for the PC and started playing it again?

But the game that really made me decide I wanted to make games was Dark Castle, for the Mac Plus.
