Prior to getting hitched, I'd lost a skosh over 50 lbs, pretty much entirely through dietary adjustments-- I've never been a big fan of seeking out exercise, so I figured I'd see how far that'd take me. I read up a bit, adjusted John Walker's
The Hacker's Diet to something I could deal with, and went at it. And it worked pretty well

And I'm with Amy -- My pound-a-week rate is 1200 calories a day, according to HD, so it's kind of unbearable to watch Alex melt away while STILL eating more food than I can even contemplate. I'm happy for him, but watching the process just makes me violent.

That said, you can eat all of the meat and vegetables you want without worrying.
