A particular brand of madness

This is how you know I'm an engineer.  Today I purchased and unpacked a 10,000 BTU "portable" (i.e. not a window unit) air conditioner.  It had several pieces and a bag of screws.  It did not come with assembly instructions.  My first thought after not finding instructions was, "Muahaha.  This will make it INTERESTING!"

So how did it go? Also, just out of curriosity, how big is your appartment? My gut says 10k Btu might cool off the whole thing.

I got it constructed...with some extra parts at the end. One of them looks like a dispenser tray for a dehumidifier, but I did not find any water exhaust anywhere. It's really humid so I think I would have noticed it leaking by now if it were.

My apartment is about 100sqft + 150sqft + my kitchen and bathroom... I'd say around 350, which in theory can be cooled by 10k btu. However there are some annoying air-circulation bottlenecks. I'm gonna get one or two extra fans to try and help with that.
