On the side of Piggies everywhere (especially those poor 300,000 getting slaughtered in Egypt for no good reason (then again, it's a Muslim country, being a pig there isn't so smart to begin with wtf??))...

The proper term is "H1N1 Influenza A", so says the WHO.

*And, I'm willing to bet that I'm way more likely to be exposed than the vast majority of y'all.

I might not be part of the vast majority! A bunch of my coworkers got sent to Mexico (specifically an area where there's a high level of suspected cases) for a business trip last Friday, and they're due to come back this next Monday. I don't think they've been asked to stay at home, either.

But, it turns out that I wash my hands frequently anyway, and I've always taken my time about it (the hot water feels nice, so why rush?). Not to mention that the thought of a week long quarantine does sound kind of nice.

And, yes, it is very fascinating to watch not just the spread of the virus, but also the reactions of people around the world. (Did you know that Egypt has decided to kill all of their pigs? http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=103700552)
