Good on you!

I never thought I'd let my certification lapse in CPR and basic first aid, but after my Dad died...well, last year when my certification was up, one year after his death, I couldn't even think about it. It's going to be difficult for me to do the first class, we did CPR on him, I've got issues. But...I think it's important to have and I am getting reinstated as a PTr, which requires it.

Unfortunately, living in isolation up here with a tough schedule to work these things around, I'm not sure I can even get it. The local corp is not advertising, my EMT husband can find out when classes are, but as no one else knows about the classes so no one signs up they keep canceling. Given my feelings about it, the added stress of not knowing if I can even get a class in the time period I need it is getting to me. I'm now randomly venting in other people's LJ posts.

Good for you! Any of the local volunteer fire departments would be lucky to have you!
