I suppose something more than a picture post would be required right about now. For my sake more than yours, of course.
This weekend was rather nice. Friday was the night of walking for Ryan and Myself. We went and saw Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. I paid $7.50 because there is no student discount, which is absolutely ridiculous. I don't know what Griffin and I are going to do when we are no longer students. I mean, we go to the movies so often, and $7.50 each will get pricey. Maybe one of us will have to work at a movie theatre, that would really save us a lot. Anyway, the movie was good, just making the ridiculous 2 1/2 hour wait and long walk back worth it. We got dinner, then went and painted the tunnels. After which I came back, and talked to Griffin dear.
Saturday was spent with Kat, Kat's mom, and Melissa in Blowing Rock shopping, and perusing the stores and art festival. It was a very very nice fall day, I enjoyed it. I however, did not enjoy my stomach ache from delicious Kilwin's Pumpkin FatFatFat Ice Cream. I don't think I'll ever learn my lesson when it comes to ice cream. I had some frozen yogurt tonight which has the same affect...oh well. Doomed, I'd say. That night I went to Applebee's with Kat and her mom and ate the most discustingly calorie-ridden hamburger ever, and it was the Cowboy Burger and it was Spectacular. Yum. I then came back here and borrowed movies from Melissa, and watched them in jammies by myself for the rest of the night. I enjoyed it. (movies were In the Eye of the Beholder [kind of weird...] and Lost in Translation [always awesome])
Sunday I woke up and immediately watched Lost in Translation again. Ah, I could watch it again right now. I thus proceeded to spend the rest of my day not getting dressed, and watching various television and movies and talking to Griffin, family, and such. It was a very nice relaxing day.
Today was class. I got an 89 on my first World Civilizations test, which is alright. I wish I would have remembered to do the bonus and gotten 2 points more, giving me an A. Lame. After class I talked to Kat and her and I and Melissa went to Hebron to climb the boulders and enjoy the beautiful weather. I took lots of pictures, so I'll post them.
I hope I can find a ride home this weekend. I have to make a flyer and put it up in the dorm seeing if anyone would give me a ride. Most likely hardly anyone is going to Charlotte this weekend, since fall break is next weekend. I want to go home and see Chris' football game, and see my sisters and brothers and parents and my Gilbert. I really love it here, but I miss my family. I'll make a very good sign. Something along the lines of "Going to Charlotte? Want gas money? Give me a ride!" People usually don't pass up gas money. At least I'm hoping.
Next week will be very fun and very busy. Leslie will be here Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. Shelley and her sisters will (most likely?) be here Wednesday (and early Thursday?), and Griffin is driving up Thursday night and staying until the next Sunday. So many people!! Alas, I have 5 drawings due in design next Tuesday, an Old Testament exam Wednesday, and I think some kind of assignment (maybe a paper?) due Monday for World Civ. Geez.
Ok here are some pictures. Lots.
