I have a strange Passover memory of my Father walking around with a lighter checking for bread in the fireplace, while a friend of his from Temple acted as "witness". I found the "Afi komen" at my friend's house and was honestly a bit dissapointed that the prize was a Lindt truffle. After all, my parents put CASH in the Easter eggs. Also, I like passover because I remember to buy matzoh and I LOVE it crumbled up in scrambled eggs. Apparently my dad learned that from his dad, which makes it about the only Jewish-y thing my grandfather must have ever done in front of his kids (for the non friends of mine...his kids didn't know he was a Jew until he died and his friends got mad they were burying him in a Catholic cemetary, I'm kinda dissapointed too, because he would have been buried in the same place as Nancy Spungen and Sid Vicious)
