The Goddess' mercy and love be with the people of Japan in the coming weeks and months. The world is with you, as are our prayers and hopes.

Supreme douchebaggery going on on Facebook now or so I hear. All my shit is set to private and thankfully none of my family members are dickish enough to say anything in my presence.

It's looking more and more like the fuel rods have melted, but are being contained by the inner structure of the reactor core. Need about 50,000 pounds of cement to Fukushima post haste.

If I were you, I'd just...not log into Facebook for the next week or so and watch either BBC or Al Jazeera if you want information. American news outlets are going to be in full sensationalism mode for the forseeable future.

When I was in high school (in rural, bible-belt Missouri, mind) we had a Korean foreign exchange student. When December 10th rolled around, a gang of good ole boys vandalized his locker, spraypainting "this is for pearl harbor" above their handiwork.

Even dumb fucks can hate.

Believe me, the ignorance, arrogance, and self-righteousness of conservative america will NEVER fade. I've lived among them most of my life, so I know. These are people who truly, GENUINELY don't see why America can't just nuke the rest of the world and be done with it. Humility is lost on these people, and if the time ever came that they needed help, they would accept it as if it were their right by birth.

But this is a particularly stupid line of thinking they brought forward. By that logic, can we assume that Katrina happened because God was angry about Fat Man?

Oh no, it was the gays. I forgot.
