So this weekend has been much more eventful/fun than most. Heh, well, 'than most' being defined as ones where i didn't chill in Germany/Austria. That was last weekend, and i realize I didn't write a big long post about that. needless to say, I really enjoyed it, had a great time, saw cool sites, ate good food, etc. good craic ( Read more... )

wow, those pictures are AMAZING. on a related note, i laughed and laughed and laughed at your aladdin joke. i then showed the joke to cassie, who also laughed and laughed and laughed, then immediately said "i don't get it." i said, "what?! then why did you laugh for so long!?" apparently she was laughing at herself for not getting the joke. she appreciated it when i pointed it out, though.

heyheyhey

i thought the sign was a warning TO jafar. and not OF jafar. i was just a little confused. and you seemed so delighted, so i laughed. but i knew i was missing something.

and it was indeed very very funny when i finally realized that i am just retarded.

I wanted to say that I too thought the Aladdin joke was hilarious. and also I thought it was interesting that the word in the Irish lanuage for danger is "Gefahr." It must be related to German, because die Gefahr is the German word for danger.
Unless that sign wasn't in the Irish language, but in German. Maybe there's a lot of German tourists.

Du bist eine Gefahr für die Gesellschaft! what with your riding your bike on the sidewalk!
which you can't do here, either. Some cops came in to tell someone I work with that after they saw her riding on the sidewalk. I don't think they usually care though.

maybe they both have latin roots for Gefahr. That, or if you go back way way far enough, the celts used to be all up in france and germany and what not, so some shared words woldn't surprise me. Though your other theory is possible, there's lots of tourists of all nationalities around.

heh, yeah, i've been doing it for two months and that was the first time i got yelled at for it, and i see other people doing it all the time. I think the cop was just having a bad night.if you ask me it's alot safer for the bikes to navigate the sidewalks than the roads, irish drivers are feckin' crazy. plus a bike and a person can navigate eachother more easily than a car and a bike. Lol, that being said, i probably am a danger to society, in general :-p

and hey, you can call me a variety of bad names for not knowing this, but what country are you living in nowadays? Russia still? or are you back in the states?
