Can anyone refer me to a good plumber? Last night I went downstairs in search of a deck of cards and discovered my water heater leaking all over the floor. Marvin took a look at it and determined that it's coming from underneath somewhere and it looks as if it may also have leaked from the top. Just fuckin' great! John has experience with plumbing, he said he can stop by tomorrow if you would like. Give him a call, let me know if you need the number.

Thanks. That's very sweet of him to have offered. I've got a plumber coming out to replace it tomorrow morning. Thankfully, it was still under warranty. Still have to pay for labor but hey, not a whole new water heater too! Phew! :)

I'm so glad to hear it's still under warranty - I figured the warranty would have just expired!

Yeah, boy I got LUCKY there! They used to have 5-year warranties but when I called the plumber, she said, "Many now have 6-year warranties so give me your serial number." THANK GOD mine was a 6-year!

I would imagine telling them you are my friend may get you better service, though probably not a discount... I think Plumbers are allergic to discounts.

Bummer. Too bad I didn't know that yesterday morning. I had to find someone fairly quickly cuz this thing is making a mess leaking everywhere. Thanks, though!
