I looked into those. Totally not worth it to me when I already have the portable equipment necessary to do the very same job... and probably better. Sorry.

The biggest benefit is that there is no analog ins/outs to deal with, so you get a better sounding recording. BUt if you already had a turntable, it would be silly to get a new one!

Grrr, they keep delaying the new EastWest stuff... I am so dying to get my hands on the stuff I pre-ordered, but mostly Stormdrum 2 =)!!!

Let me know what you think of Stormdrum 2 and also, if you bought it, Voices of Passion. *drools*

Awesome! I'm sure you'll have a ball digging through your old stuff too! It's so fun to hear things you've not bothered with in years! I found a Russ Ballard album in there I forgot I had and forgot I loved and danced my ass off in my kitchen all by myself. How fuckin' SAD is that? LOL! Forgot how much I loved it! Yeah... Russ who? 80's Miami Vice sorta stuff circa 1985. Woot!

I decided to spring clean in conjunction with this time-consuming recording process which was a good decision to keep me busy. Just to do the initial recording of 60 tracks has taken me 6 hours (and I've just begun). The editing and ripping to mp3 of those recordings should go relatively quick though. :)
