I am entirely ignorant of the Christmas tradition of paper crowns. What is that about?

They sell Christmas crackers with a toy, a cheesy joke, and a flimsy tissue paper crown in it that comes out when you pull the cracker at both ends (traditionally a two-person tug). So then you read the joke aloud at the table, get a few eye rolls, put on the crown, and see who wants to trade toys.

Oh! Funny, I have had Christmas crackers, but I don't remember getting crowns. Granted, we didn't have them very much at all. I probably forgot. Eh, fun times.

Well it is a really really big investement. Honestly, don't buy it if you don't think you'll really take advantage of all the features. Like I said, I have been happy experimenting with mine for a while now, and only recently do I think I have reached the point where it's worth moving up a level.
