Countdown to Meltdown

Life can sometimes be torturous. And then something or someone happens to make you happy. And I wouldn't have it any other way.

I'm trying to think of something witty or insightful to write, but I'm failing. I do notice that when things get you down (or life in general is overwhelming) you tend to go away (of course my noticing could be completely wrong) and I'm glad something or someone brought a bright spot for you. Hopefully this happiness of can extend, or continue, and you get to enjoy it longer.

Cheers.

I'm at a very odd time in my life where, for whatever reason, I just know things are going to be all right. Whatever happens to me right now doesn't matter because they will work themselves out. It's a very difficult feeling to explain, and if I were a more religious man I may be able to do it....

You don't have to explain yourself. Your confidence in you and your abilities will see you through. I'm agnostic anyway, so if you started into a religion I'd probably nod my head a few times and have only the tinist bit of understanding.

I read your most recent post arcane. You are a survivor, and you seem to know what you want or at least have an idea of what road you're on. You're a cool person to get to know, in more ways than just your talent (in various fields) and your ability to survive.

No one can take that away from you. I'm glad you're still around, that you straightened yourself out and that you know, with conviction and a firm belief, that things will improve. Good luck, man. Everyone goes through hell in their own ways, it's surviving it with something left to you, something (flounders for words) to make it and keep a part of yourself even when a lot of innocence is gone, is still making it. That doesn't sound right. I guess you're not the only one having problems explaining.

Compliments from a stranger... unnoticedfaery January 14 2004, 05:15:41 UTC
Hi. You don't know me (or at least, I'd be willing to bet you don't) but I happened upon your journal at 3am by searching randomly for people with an interest in Sandman and I wanted to compliment you on the beautiful setup... that's awesome... can I get you to build me one? Joking, joking. Anyway, congrats...

I thank you very much. Neil Gaiman, and "the Sandman" series in particular has been very inspiring for me.
