It occurs to me that while I talk about my theatrical experience extensively I've never really gone into detail what that experience includes. For your amusement -- Oh, who am I kidding... For my amusement, my theatrical experiences presented in random, convoluted lists.

Yay! I really enjoyed reading this. I'm glad I have the time today to sluff and read LJ friend entries. Theatre is awesome and judging by the size of your roles, you must be awesome at it! If I'm ever on the West Coast, I totally want to see you in something.

I want everyone on my f-list to see me in a play! You especially. I should find something that tours out your way!

It is a completely awesome, beautiful play. It takes a few liberties from the book and leaves some stuff out but I enjoyed everything about it. I still have the script if you want to look at it sometime.

I don't know how well I can sing these days. I have the kind of voice that needs constant training. Constant! When I did "Into the Woods" it was the last half of my senior year in high school and I had been voice training for three years. Let's put it this way... Without voice training, my sophomore year we did the Music Man and I was cast in a speaking role only. They wouldn't even let me into the chorus ensemble.

I auditioned for a musical about a year after I graduated high school and the singing portion was so dismal. I was humiliated. I ended up getting the smallest role in the production (it was titled Something's Afoot and I played the butler who died about ten minutes into the show) but at least I got to sing in the opening number even if it was just in the ensemble.

Oh! And that award nomination? I was disqualified from the competition because I couldn't find a partner to do a scene with me. It was devestating. I plan to score another one this year though and find a partner early on.
