Got up freakishly early today (5:30, don't have a 2nd so I go to school at 9:10). Had to finish this *#&$ history project. Brendan appears not to have understood the requirements, so I beefed up one of his sections, but I'm sure we're going to fail them anyways. CathErine and I need a new partner-- the two of us put out, but I can't deal with having to re-write other people's work too. I mean, if it takes over three hours to compile our project, something is wrong. We talked for like half an hour on the Brazilian revolution, and I think even the teacher was falling asleep. At least they liked my cookies :)
Speaking of cookies, you all should be proud. Last night I baked the Papus de Anges (angel cheeks, they're little yeast cakes soaked in a sugar syrup) all by my lonesome. And they turned out well, IMHO :D Lots of people complimented me, which means a lot since I'm hardly even allowed in the kitchen. I guess I can bake, but I still suck at cooking.
So now I'm just waiting for Mere to pick me up at school. There was supposed to be a French IB meeting today, but Mme Abed moved it to tomorrow. I told my Mom not to count on the meeting, and that I'd call if I needed to stay late, but apparently she interpreted that backwards, and so now I have to wait a bit longer for her to appear. Gargh. It wouldn't be bad 'cept you can't do anything on school computers.
I've decided I'm gonna start an honest-to-goodness blog. I know I have to keep some sort of "blog" on my site to keep Grace happy, but she never said it had to be a journal. I can then continue writing about how boring my days were here, and do the news stuff there. I've always wanted to try real blogging, but I don't have any good sources for news. I guess I'll just have to sign up for some newsletters.

Right, so I was totally stoaked about my HP costume for Friday 'cause I knew that it'd be waaay better than Britta's (no offence, dahling), especially if I made my own wand. But now Liz has gone all out and spent $60 (why?!?! It's not worth it!
