I have decided to participate in We Love the Women that Fandom Hates, which I found thanks to the inimitable rubynye.

I claimed Gaila (which should also surprise no one). Because she's an example of how fandom can turn a bit character with a few lines into a major player in our writings, and how disparate fanon can cast her in so many lights.
