A long time ago, I watched a presentation by a porn star and sex activist that got me thinking about the same kind of issues (not least that she did a movie about masturbation and mentioned in it how many of the women masturbated lying on their stomachs, not backs as shown in porn). I didn't run with that enlightenment as far or nearly as impressively as you did, but it did make me think about the artificiality and narrowness of what we're often shown versus the wider realities of people's lives.
But anyway. In all my babble I've neglected to mention that this story is ever so hot,and oh, I can just *see* curly sweet little Polina, rocking against her hands hard enough to shake the bed.

It makes me alternately sad and furious that there are people out there who honestly do think that what they're doing; what they naturally and instinctively do is wrong and not normal. It can be anything from how you masturbate to who you're attracted to to what kink floats your boat, but people denying what makes them happy is just Not Cool.
Then again, I think masturbation should be covered in middle school sex-ed as an option for exploring healthy sexuality, which I've found to be a rather unpopular view, so everything I say should likely be taken with a grain of salt.

I wanted to explore that insecurity and fear that your body is somehow wrong, and figured that Polina was pretty much the perfect vehicle for that.
I'm glad you liked it!

I'm also impressed that you've worked a rather sensitive issue into this. And done it so flawlessly. It's believable but not overly out-there so it disrupts the flow of reading. Really good.
