Austin has some great neighborhoods. If it weren't for the allergies and the fact that most of my friends are in the Bay Area and the fact that SF is my one true civic love, I would be very tempted to live there.

Hopefully, because you love the city, the firm, etc.

Hopefully not because you think the law is "sexy." The law is never "sexy," and I wish people would stop using that expression.

that's one of my favorite parts of austin, right there on the other side of greystone when the hill falls out from under your feet.

so i've been thinking about coming to terms with my lack-of-passion about law and trying cognitive science. why's this a bad idea?

not a bad idea.

at least no worse than taking a painfully acquired degree in computer sciences and going to law school. its too late now to start second guessing...

people have made mention of the debt, etc., and i usually respond, "we all die." yeah, i think i'll go talk to someone here about it today. i need a checklist of things to do this summer in order to make this happen.
