after 13 trys I've resigned myself to the fact that I cannot properly initiate and complete the burning of a bootable windows xp cd. Instead, I've got 7 coasters and 6 CDs with a non-bootable versions of windows installation. Unfortunately those discs do nothing for the heap of plastic that is my mother's broken desktop

i don't think the failure to burn a bootable CD reflects on your CS skills at all. your failure to scream "FUCK THIS SHIT" and write your own CD burner, however, might.
