How does one just "reconnect"?

I used to know a certain person; he was warm and caring but timid and confused. I knew that he sought direction, and needed a lot of guidance to find his way. I fell off the face of the 'net for a while, and in that time he and I lost contact. Part of it was his depression taking hold (more on that some other time) and part of it was my own

This sounds hauntingly familiar... granted, I'm dealing with a lot of the same issues right now, doubly so since I'm trying to release a fourth disc.

The whole reaching the audience thing... it's a tough road, when the only option you know of is a crappy one, IE writers and musicians only having FA / Yiffstar to broadcast on... it's better than nothing but some part of me always thinks that I've failed when (as expected) nobody even gives it a listen.
