I'm still alive! hi, everyone! Urg, I'm sorry I'm so awfully behind. I just cracked my knuckles and decided to go through all my missed posts, and after skip=140, LJ decided I could not have any more tabs! or, well, yes to tabs, no to seeing posts. Anyway, I managed to find fic I haven't read posted in
worlds_finest, so I hope I didn't miss anything... not that

Your necklace sounds awesome! My boy got me a butterfly necklace with blue stones, and it's really nice. I think I did okay for him, but it is hard because the guys can always get the girls jewelry, but what's the equivalent for them? I'm not gonna buy him a powertool.
Glad you're doing okay and had a nice holiday. Maybe 2011 be as fortuitous for you!

I agree with you about boys and personal meaningful presents! I did some surveys and apparently the equivalent would be a watch? but... like, I didn't want to get him a crummy watch but I also didn't think spending 200 dlls in his present was proper? It's so hard... I hope your boy liked his presents! And your necklace sounds so pretty! butterflies for the win!
May 2011 be awesome for you too!

The locket is the best Christmas gift ever! Boys are super hard to shop for, although it does help a bit when they're geeky, at least...
I hope you have awesome adventures in 2011! I can't believe we're almost done with 2010!

Boys are so hard to get meaningful presents for! Like.. maybe a watch? but the difference is that you can get super cute jewelry pretty inexpensively but it's not like you can buy super awesome watches the same way. Maybe for his next birthday, though! Or, as Q_T says, a power tool :P Geeky presents totally make it easier, too. Neil Gaiman to the rescueeee!
I hope to see you in two months, so that's my awesomest adventure planned for 2011! and maybe ComicCon too! SO MANY ADVENTURES! :)

Ouch, I hope work gets less stressful for you this year. Yelling at coworkers who are also family is no fun.
Sounds like an awesome present! I'm sure boy liked what you got him too. Boys are very hard to shop for.
Oh man, Wheel of Time is a slippery slope. I hope you're enjoying the series so far! It's probably the best time to start reading them, now there's an end in sight.

Working with dad is so mad-making. He can be very overbearing and rude, things I wouldn't put up with in another job or with another client... but right now it's what I have, so I guess I have to make do. Money is starting to worry me, though...
Boys are hard to shop for meaningful things. I got him a tshirt that hasn't arrived yet (damn it), two Neil Gaiman books and a wallet. So. Kind of impersonal but at least they are personal interest-related? :S
Wheel of Time is.. man. It's definitely a lot of things. It desperately needed an editor, though, to cut through all the meandering stuff. Those books sure are long. I'm liking them well enough, though I admit the main reason I'm reading them is because the boy is loving them with the passion of a thousand suns and he won't shut up about them, so this way at least I know what he's talking about. I've just started book 5, so... we'll see how long it takes me to finish the series...
Hope you're doing okay!
