FINALLY, after over a month, I found an update on the little girl who was hit by a woman who then chugged a beer and laughed in the face of the girl's mother (both mother and daughter are obviously Latino, the driver looks and talks/acts white

I will add - I am really hoping to get my dissertation done ASAP and find a decent job - somewhere cooler, drier, and where justice is a bit more real - and be able to move us away from this hellhole ASAP!
