Very cool! The first movie has so many little nods to reality - there really were excavations at Tanis in the '30s, and they really were run by a French guy (which is why you never get to see documentation - nearly none of it is in English), and Shishonq really is a candidate for where the Ark wound up. Even the gold statuette at the beginning is basically someone's probably fake statue of Tlatleotl! I find it real hard to get jazzed about the fourth film, since the extant skulls are probably 1890s hoaxes, but I guess that after tackling three big religions in the first, tackling American pop culture (how we view Area 51 and the 1950s) would be a neat break - if that's what she's planning. And if not I'm fascinated by what she might do with it.
