Thanks! This is inspiring! What he says is so important, so true. Never thought I'd wish for a bulldozer! ;-) His swale construction could be used on a flat piece of land, on a smaller scale, I bet. What a great idea.

I'm glad you found it useful. Permaculture is fantastic, it works well in every climate. I worked on it for my (never finished *g*) doctorate. I'm currently working on my diploma, doing social networking as the core of that. I'm about to set up a website and LJ com for people to exchange ideas, experiences and discoveries. I'll post links when I have it all organised (no obligations, of course!)

Tell me about the diploma. That's one more option in your system that's the same as a master's, isn't it? I've heard a little about it and it sounds like a good way to do what I did (my midlife career change) but it's more affordable? Can you do it limited residency? I'll be paying my grad school off the rest of my life, it seems like...
