Reason #253 that I Love the Bay Area: for any value of "that," you can get stuff to make that. ANY VALUE. Possibly something to do with there being a company up the road from me that makes satellites (Space Systems/Loral), a shipyard at the end of the peninsula, and a company across the bay that makes face-rending performance electric cars (Tesla ( Read more... )

Oh, sorry! Yes, fun with Fiats! I have a Fiat 850 Spider project car that needs some love and attention and welding pretty badly.

I've loved it there the times I've visited, but I could never in my life earn enough to live there. So much good food and fun things to do, and it seems far more densely populated with furs than most other places.

You might be surprised; most jobs out here seem to pay a little better accordingly. As for density, it's...yeah. There's a weekly furmeet here that, I am given to understand, is attended nearly as well as New Zealand's national furcon!
