Random Thought

Ever think you're by yourself in a room, do something really awkward/weird/stupid, and turn around and find to your great embarrassment that you were being watched? (details, details! ;)

Or how about walking into a hotel room wondering what weird things other travelers have done when they thought no one was watching?

Now imagine time behaving much like a ribbon... running from one end to the next, and foliding it onto itself in such a way as to make it possible to observe past events happening all at once. And further suppose that when you pushed "play" again, that no person collided with one another, each performing their private actions with the sort of confidence you have when you're sure no one is watching.

You would have a pretty good picture of a music video compiled by music artist George Michael in his rendition of "Flawless." Apart from its catchy beat, I'm just intrigued by the choreography in this video. I heard the original song before while stationed in England, but never had seen the remake in the form below:

Be honest. You laughed within the first three seconds at the sight of a guy relieving himself at "'cause you're beautiful," then stepping on a scale and cheating with taking one foot off...

What I like about this is that it suggests as weird and strange as we all believe our self-image (or that of others) to be, we really do have more in common than we think. You've got to wonder whether God is up there laughing at us when we get in these wacky moods and start squatting down, flailing our arms in front of us in an abysmal attempt at creating a new dance move.
