I saw this too and was just as outraged. The crazy thing is, this isn't being called what is by the press. An assassination and an act of domestic terrorism. Domestic terrorism has been a problem in this country going back as far (at least) as the KKK. But its a dirty little American secret we don't talk about. Terrorism is something that happens "out there" and not at home...

This is hideous -- disgusting -- and makes a mockery of any pretense of a 'Right to Life' ideal. I know a number of anti-abortion proponents who are shocked, but I'm horrified at the number of people I've spoken with who said they believed he 'had it coming to him' for 'murdering babies.'

But you're right: it's because of issues like this, and like Proposition 8, that we need to remain vocal. Only in silence, only in complacency, can miscarriages of justice be binned without notice.
